GlobalCom Data Services (GDS) was awarded the license for a private wireless data operator, under decree 9288, dated October 5, 1996. Wireless Solutions

Using its wireless microwave network, GDS is currently serving thousands of connections under Clear Ethernet over ATM, and IP layer 3 over MPLS protocols for banks and institutions such as public, financial, educational, and health. GDS also serves connections for commercials, companies, NGOs, and service providers in both corporate and residential sectors.
